Gustavo Dudamel: His Mission of Unity, Inspiration, Access and Hope

Posted in music-news

Gustavo Dudamel’s journey from Venezuela to the heights of artistic and critical acclaim as Music & Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic has inspired thousands of musicians worldwide to take their craft to the next level. We at the LA Phil are profoundly fortunate to have his passion, drive and commitment to excellence at our iconic venues, Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. Whether he’s rehearsing with the orchestra, conducting a sold-out performance or teaching the young musicians of Youth Orchestra Los Angeles, Gustavo’s energy resonates throughout Los Angeles. In addition to helping make the LA Phil what it is today, he is also helping shape the art form for generations to come, and we celebrate the epic impact of his journey.
Thank you, Gustavo, for being who you are and for continuing to inspire incredible artistry and unity, here in Los Angeles and around the world.
